sim.

Sim is a multidisciplinary product designer who works at the intersection of art, architecture, technology and science with a passion in exploring the empathetic relationship between human body and the environment. She has been dedicating herself fully to in-depth studies on sensory experiences and interrogating notions of body and extension since 2017.

Her latest work, Neoteny explored the intersection between wearable technology and transhumanism by constructing a device that enhances autobiographical memories by referencing body movement with olfactory stimuli. The project has been exhibited and presented globally in places such as Ugly Duck Gallery’19 (UK), UCL Doctoral School’19 (UK), Ars Electronica’18 (Austria), IALab Catapult Show’19 (UK), LAC Studio’20 (China) and KLAF’19 (Malaysia).

Today, She is looking at further layering her multi-disciplinary practices to envision new everyday interactions between people and spaces, and continue exploring tools (digital/analog) that enable people to engage and make sense of the environment.  In addition to my multidisciplinary work, I am also an NFT Artist/Designer for [Nouns DAO], where I combine my digital art with blockchain technology to create unique digital assets that are redefining the art landscape.

She is an alumni of Interactive Architecture Lab, a Creative Computing mentor at [Chumbaka], and also a founding member of Kod(Kod), a collective established in April 2020 with a focus on theories and techniques of new media arts to engage with the public.

In my leisure time, you will often find me in the CrossFit gym, courts, golf course or the range ;)
